Enjoy the perfect getaway over Christmas 2009 with our Christmas walking holiday in the Lake District between Christmas and the New Year. Great walks each day in one of the best walking locations in the Lake District with the choice of enjoying leisurely or moderate higher level guided walks, good food in comfortable settings, and relaxed social evenings.
For added interest, on one of the evenings following dinner, there will be an optional tour of the local Ambleside & Langdale Mountain Rescue Centre. Well worth a visit to gain an insight into this skilled mountain rescue team and also check out some of their kit including 2 new fully customised Land Rovers. |

| | YHA Elterwater......A converted farmhouse, YHA Elterwater provides great accommodation in a popular but tranquil Lakeland village close to a 16th century Inn and superbly located for walks in the Lake District central fells. Expect good food and a warm welcome. YHA Elterwater is shared bunkroom type accommodation with a number of twin rooms available. Private rooms can be reserved on request subject to availability.
