Walk with Mountain Rescue Leader Nick Owen and the opportunity to go wild swimming in a mountain pool
To have exclusive company of a Mountain Rescue Team Leader on a guided walk of the English Lake District is not something you can do every day so it's a real treat to be joined by Nick, Team Leader at one of the Lake Districts distinguished Mountain Rescue Teams (Langdale & Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team). With his experience and insight into the local area Nick will choose the walk in the central fell and eastern fells of the Lake District.
During the weekend there will also be an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in a true back to nature adventure sport, wild swimming, as we go for a dip in a mountain pool so please bring a swimming costume.
For Sunday we'll find a local pub/ tea room to have lunch before people head off home.

Summary Itinerary
- Day 1 - Check in available from 5pm. Welcome Evening at 8.30pm
- Day 2 - Guided walk with Mountain Rescue
- Day 3 - Departure Day. Guided walk with an experienced guide. The weekend will finish between 3-4pm

YHA Elterwater, a converted farmhouse, provides great accommodation in a popular but tranquil Lakeland village close to a 16th century Inn and superbly located for walks in the Lake District central fells.
Expect good food and a warm welcome.
